There is nothing better than coming home after work and preparing yourself a nice and fresh Prosecco cocktail to kickstart the evening. This is the list of my favorite Prosecco cocktail recipes.
Why do I love Prosecco cocktails? //
I have to admit that Prosecco-based cocktails are my favorite. Prosecco generally has a lighter and fruitier taste making it much smoother to drink, unlike some champagnes and sparkling wine. It is also very versatile in terms of what it mixes well with and is an excellent drink to have during a hot day or alongside dinner.
What kind of drink is Prosecco? //
Prosecco is a sparkling white wine from Italy. It is more fruity and has a sweeter taste than champagne, its fancy French counterpart. It is often compared to Spanish Cava which is less sweet and more citrusy.
What mixes well with Prosecco? //
Prosecco tastes great just on its own, but it is a fantastic base for cocktails. Since it has a fruity and sweet taste, it blends well with fruit juices like orange (or any other citrus fruit), cranberry or apple juice.
Are you supposed to refrigerate Prosecco? //
Yes, Prosecco is indeed best served chilled, around 40℉ or 45℉. You can store an opened bottle of Prosecco in the fridge for up to 5 days. Just make sure to close it properly with a wine stopper to ensure it stays fizzy.
