Our second R-pod trip took us to Echo Bluff State Park. We decided to keep our trips in-state for a while, at least until we have a little bit more trailer experience.
EBSP is a fairly new state park and I am not quite sure what I expected but it blew me away! The campground was so nice and clean. The site was perfectly level (this can be a big deal!). There is a good amount of green space between sites. And there are wild, white horses that roam the campground – two adults and one baby. We got our camp setup and they greeted us fairly soon after.
There is a creek that runs through the campground, called Sinking Creek, that flows into the Current River. It’s spring-fed so it’s a little cool and the water is always flowing. Being July it was plenty warm and the creek was perfect for cooling off.
